In case you missed the announcement at last Thursday’s member event at La Condesa – you missed a killer party, too, by the way – the lights were turned on for the entire Katy Trail last Friday night.
Right now, the contractor is troubleshooting. He tells us there are less than 10 lights not functioning correctly. Not bad, considering there are more than 140 lights on the Trail.
While there will be some kinks to work out, the lights are designed to come on at 5 a.m. and go off at sunrise, then come on again at sunset and go off at 11 p.m.

Great Job on the lights! Sorry I missed the killer party. Thanks for everything you do.-Ben
The lights along the entrance at the AA center leading up and into the trail are apparently all off in the mornings, and the trail disappears around the bend into darkness. Oncor sucks. They've been on the news these past 24 hours because they were dragging their asses getting other lights working again, and thanks at least in part to that, a kid riding his bike in the unlit area got killed by a police car speeding to a call.
