Vanessa over at Examiner.com recently discovered what you probably know - the Katy Trail is a great place to get some exercise and fresh air. Click here to check it out. Thanks!
I recently moved downtown and discovered the Katy Trail. I love it - but there are a few rough spots in the layout.
The "official" entrance at Fitzhugh Ave has been locked the last 2 times that I tried to use it. It doesn't make any sense that the trail gate is locked - it leads into an apartment parking lot that is open to the street.
Since there's not an accessible entrance, there are 2 paths that pedestrians and bikers have worn into the grass. That's not helping with erosion or beautification in the area.
Why isn't there a public ramp at this intersection?
